Senioritis

Senioritis; a supposed affliction of students in their final year of high school or college, characterized by a decline in motivation or performance. As we near the end of the school year, you hear this term a lot among seniors.

“I feel like that because I hate school, all school work is just busy work that’s pointless,” senior Lauren Campbell said.

Some say their four years here flew by and others say it took forever but however it felt they are excited to move on.

“She’s the baby and it will be emotional to see her walk across the stage but were proud and anxious to see what she does in the future.” Parents of Lauren Campbell said.

Most cases seniors have easier classes and that contributes to the laziness or decline in motivation. But for some seniors, they have difficult classes.

“I take AP Literature and having a rigorous class adds a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety to my last year. It makes it more difficult to stay motivated and focused,” senior Amber Ryan said.
