“When I went and picked up my cap and gown, I felt nervous but then again excited to start my new journey. It’s definitely a moment I had been waiting for and it was really exciting. It’s emotional for me because I realize we’re all growing up and becoming adults. It showed me how close we were to actually graduating,” senior Emily Huston said.

“Picking up my cap and gown made everything so real. I made it. I’m going to graduate and move on and do things with my life. I’m going to feel so proud when I walk across that stage. I’m the first in my family to walk and it is an amazing feeling. I’m ready to graduate and make something of myself,” senior Anthony Mister said.

“I still haven’t come to pick up my cap and gown since I’m the best procrastinator ever. I’m full time enrolled at EFSC so I’m never at the high school much. I’m so excited to graduate and not nervous one bit, just anxious to get it over with. When I finally walk across the stage I will feel relived for it to be over. I’m ready to move to the next chapter of my life and I’m so ready to graduate,” senior Hannah Thompson said.

“It felt normal I guess, I was excited to see what the cap and gown looked like in person. It made me more excited for graduation day for sure. I’m very ready to leave and be done with high school finally. I will feel relieved and be able to move on from it,” senior Zach Johnson said.

“When I first got the cap and gown, I immediately tried them on and took pictures with my friends. I can’t wait to graduate and when I picked up my gown it made me even more excited. It was a great feeling putting on the cap and gown. A new chapter of my life is about to begin,” senior Caitlyn Holley said.

“I was sooo excited to pick up my cap and gown because it means that, while I’m happy with what I’ve done here, I’m moving on to bigger things. I think I’ll feel excited, but also grateful for all the people I’ve met in the past four years. I’m ready to leave high school because I look forward to things that are to come. I’m heading to UF after high school so a new adventure is waiting for me,” senior Ally Reed said.

“I feel like graduation is more real now. When I got my cap and gown it was exciting but it was like real life is coming. When I finally walk across the stage I’m going to be proud of myself. I get to finally move on from immature drama but then see the real world,” senior Danielle Hatchett said.
