JROTC Field Trip

Students who are members of the JROTC program, known as the War Eagle Battalion, will be on a field trip this Friday. The field trip will be held at Fort Christmas in Christmas, FL.
LTC Whalen planned this field trip as a teambuilding experience for JROTC students. “The last time we went it was fabulous. We played sports and toured the Indian forts. It really built my students camaraderie skills,” Colonel Whalen said.
Sports such as Chicago Ball, Volleyball, and Tug Of War were all on the schedule. “I’m looking forward to the sports and traveling with my friends,” Sophomore Karisma Brown said.
Although the battalion didn’t go last year cadets like Junior Thor Moceri are excited to go. “I really like touring and learning new things. I’m excited to compete in sports and take a day off from school,” Thor said. The cadets that went spent their seventh block in the JROTC classroom cooling off. “I ate a lot of food and had a great time,” Sophomore Ethan Harman said.
